I found this licorice web site
http://www.licoriceinternational.com/index.html. Licorice from all over the
world. Good news is that   some are sugarfree/no sweetener varieties and
also artificially sweetened. I didn't realize that it could be bought not
sweetened. Its good for you- I dare you to eat more than a few of the pure
varieties

Uh, my understanding is that the real stuff (which is rare in the US, at
least) can have deleterious health effects.  I don't remember exactly
what, but something in the back of my mind is murmuring about blood
pressure.

As with most things, to much of anything isn't good for you.

Hypokalemia (low potassium) and death, even after small amounts regularly over
time.  Electrolyte imbalance.

Everything in moderation and I guess you have to heed the warnings- I can't
handle more that 1 dime size piece anyway. The pure drops are the size of a
pea. My point is that its a ton of flavor and a guilt free treat- but don't
overdo it.
