Yesterday I was doing the happy dance - scale read 241.5, day before 241,
This morning, it's back to 244. No, I didn't totally  blow it yesterday. I
ate a reasonable breakfast and late lunch - no dinner, not interested when
lunch wasn't till about 1:30. This is why I don't trust scales. The day to
day weight swing can make me crazy if I let it. That's why I only count as
real what I happen to get on Sunday. It's a way of balancing out the 3-5
pound daily swings. Now, I need to stop getting on the scale more than once
per week! Just let my body tell me I'm doing fine. I have gotten in to some
pants that were uncomfortable to wear; wore them to work on Friday. So, my
wardrobe is starting to increase without hitting the stores. I've got some
stuff I can't wait to get back into. I tried on my short-term goal of my
suede jacket. I could close it, but it is still too tight. But it won't be
for long! It will be wearable before spring!

For February, I'm going to set my goal higher. Once I met my January goal, I
started to get complacent. Didn't watch the carb levels as closely. Didn't
exercise as frequently. That immediately gave me a weight gain. But, this
time I was able to get myself back on track before I totally lost control.
So, If I make my goal closer to what I believe I actually can achieve, I
hope to be able to maintain focus better.

Good going!  I can ALWAYS tell when I've lost weight well before it
shows up on the scale.  I KNOW I'm smaller now than I was two weeks ago,
but the scale's not budging.  Look for the little things (so to speak)
to keep you going -- the scale will catch up (or, to be more precise,
DOWN) eventually :-)
