I am not affiliated with the company and am not even endorsing that
product. People asked where pemmican is sold online, well, try the URL
that I am providing here.

This page is an affiliate link to

Thanks, Ig.  It is quite expensive. I wonder how long 5 lbs will last?  I'm
not even sure I will like it, either.  I'll write them to see if they will
sell me a 2 oz sample.

I would definitely try a sample before buying 5 lbs of that
stuff. Good idea. Making your own pemmican is not difficult, also.

I'm suspicious because is says "NO CARBS!" in the ad, yet the ingredients
list honey and cherries!

If you make your own you can decline to add those ingredients,
or maybe addyour own dried berries.

The last time pemmican was discussed a trick came up:

It can be hard to grind regular texture jerky into a powder,
so if you made your own jerky, dry it out until it is
brittle and then it is easy to powder.  Most people like
their jerky chewy so extra drying is avoided, but making
pemmican don't avoid it.
