Hello,
> I'm marrying my best friend tomorrow (Valentine's Day).
Please let me send my best wishes for you both again. May you have at
least as much happiness as Howard and I have had - preferably more.
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. :-)
Here's hoping for blue sky, mild temps and no wedding snafus.
Marriage done right is heaven. :-)
Take care,
Carmen

Carmen,
They don't make 'em like you and Howard anymore...

Happy Anniversary *and* Happy Valentine's Day to you!
I think Howard and I will probably putter on the house together
tomorrow. He's got a day off so we're going to just enjoy some "us"
time. :-)
Take care,
Carmen

This one's having a mammogram. But hope everyone else has a nice V day.
Maybe my evening with hubby will be a little more romantic.

We pre-spent it :) DH took me to an amazing concert with 3 amazing
acoustic fingerpicking acoustic guitarists. http://www.vezco.com and I
bought every CD and DVD they had available at the table. I sat in the
front row, centre, so I got to see these guys do their thing 10-12 feet
away from me!
DH and I don't usually make an issue out of Valentine's day, as we believe
in showing love on our own schedule (daily), not someone else's, but every
now and then it's nice to break tradition and go with the flow ;)

Wow, this looks like good music. And such high praise from
Bruck Cockburn, too!

Oh, I'm sure that if you lowered your standards enough, you'd be married.
;-) Seriously, I don't think getting married is a big deal -- I think
remaining married is a much, much bigger deal.

:) Right...but standards are what they are....I can't function outside of
them. I do think remaining married so for long is a major big deal that
some people make seems so trival.

Kind of like losing weight isn't the big deal, it's keeping
it off that a much bigger deal, right?

You just have to ask more women. Make it a point to ask at least three
women a week to marry you and you will surely find one to say yes in a
relatively short time. It's like exercise, you have to keep doing it
regularly. :-)

:) Okay, you win! You've obviously identified the problem. I've only
asked one woman to marry me. She first said yes, but after 3 years she said
no. Thank goodness for that! We're friends now, though, and I think she
might like to try again...but I can't go there.
