Hi all...

I started following the Atkins diet on Feb 1....my 2 week induction period
went great the first week, and I kinda screwed up last week.  I'm trying
again.   :)

I just stumbled across this newsgroup by searching for 'carb' in my
newsgroup filter....its been an enjoyable read.

however....yikes...what's up with that never-ending 'Two Pound a Day' post?
Why is religion making an appearance in a 'way of eating' newsgroup?

What's up, BigD.  You'll quickly learn here that diet and religion invoke
similar responses in human beings.  It's an interesting thing, really.  Make
sure you have a thick skin if you're gonna hang out here, though.

So, how did you screw up?

I have a very think skin.  :)   Especially since I am not religious in the
least.

I was home for the first week of induction, which went very well.  I was on
the road last week for work, and a couple of times I ate 'junk' in my hotel
room...room service....I wasn't horrible, but it did set me back a bit.

thanks for the Hi!

Because it is Usenet and *everything* makes an appearance everywhere! Don't
be surprised if you see a pork rind inquiry turn into a heated political
debate one day!!

goodluck & welcome aboard!

Just kill file that idiot and be on the lookout for threads to kill when
other idiots answer him.

There are lots of things you will find in this newsgroup that don't
belong.  It's very difficult for people to not speak so freely about
things when they're anonymous.  Newsgroups and being drunk are basically
the same thing.  People speak their mind without any filters and tend to
ramble.  Just ignore it best you can.
Welcome!
Mark

Those are still being posted?  I have them pretty effectively filtered.
I still see occasional responses, but as soon as I see the name "Chung",
I immediately skip to the next post.  Same with JC der Koenig.  Ignore
them.  If you can, filter them out so you never see them in the first
place.
