My weight is dropping slowly, although i am losing inches rapidly.  My
clothes are getting looser, but I do enjoy seeing the numbers drop on the
scale.

You claimed you started at 77 lbs (that's the month-start one), so it
thinks you have GAINED 256 lbs (went from 77 to 333 lbs).

> How do I ammend it????

Just post a corrected one.  It remembers the last data it sees for
each tag type (i.e. you only have to post a "since:" once per month,
if RC gets it right the first time).
Laureen - 08 Apr 2005 01:54 GMT

Whatever you weighed at the beginning of this month.  If you post at
the beginning of the month, RC figures it out from the
start/current/goal numbers (it assumes current is, well, your current
weight ;) so it's optional (unless you need to correct an old number).

DO you still get your TOM? My weight loss slows the week of TOM for me.
I lost one pound between MOn and Fri 4/4-4/8. Wehn it was over ZOOOM

Yep... I get like 2 weeks worth of it. Since beginning LC, my cycle is
*really* weird. And yes, I talked to my doctor about it and it's
nothing to worry about. It seems I have a 2 week spot when I lose, and
then nothing for the next 2 weeks. Usually I gain around that TOM. It
took me a while to accept that, but now I just take it with a grain of
salt. As long as I stick with my WOE and exercise properly, there's
nothing else I can do.

BTW... lookin' good Laureen :)

LOL Thanks Nicole. Funny thing happened to me after I posted this. I
had TOM on the 6th of this month. Today is ovulation day 14 days later
and instead I am having another TOM!!!!! WTH????? I got scared at first
thinking maybe I had a cyst rupture but I only have one ovary and my
tube is clipped off so no blood would go through the fallopian tube.
Weird huh?? Maybe the rapid weight loss is freaking my system out?????

Oestrogen is stored in fat, and when weightloss occurs this excess oestrogen
is released into the body.  Some women notice cycle upsets during weightloss
due to the oestrogen.

Well there ya go! Thanks Tara! Both docs told me my periods would
regulate. Maybe they meant after the weight loss. It was weird. I just
didnt feel like I "recovered" from the last period and went right into
the second one 14 days later. I have felt kind of punchy all month. Now
this explains it. I have had a perpetual period LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I have
been incrediblty bitchy, but was warned about that too since the
hormones are all be released. I never thought of the estrogen though,
that really explains it. The fats goes and the estrogen must just ooze
out and do its thing.

It's been a year of whacked out cycles for me, and there's still no
"normal" cycle in sight. LOL Oh well. Eventually we'll both become
normal again. :)

When's your checkup Laureen? Was it May 3rd? I'm eager to hear what
your doctor says about your marvelous progress :)

I thought some estrogen was actually manufactured by the fat cells.

Hmmmm maybe so. Could that explain why those real lean runner girls
suffer from ammenoreah<sp> No fat to store the hormone in no fat to
make the hormone in if in fact that is what estrogen does? Hormones are
complex arent they? All I know is mine are running rampant all over
place LOL!!!!!! One minute I am nice and the next a bitch. I feel like

The skinny girl runners mostly still have ovaries to make most of their
estrogen.  You need cholesterol to make hormones, though.  Do skinny girls
who run a lot, or anorexics, who also get amenoreah have low cholesterol?
They probably haven't done that study, yet.  I did read somewhere recently
that kids who get suspended from school are more likely to have low
cholesterol than kids who didn't.  Are you getting enough cholesterol?  I
have low cholesterol even though I'm fat and I'm a bitch.

Chit! Remind me not to piss you off. Are you truly evil? <wink> My
daughter caught my wrath this am. Before school Dad was in the shower,
I in my room putting laundry away. She helped herself to the bubblegum
and was going to transport "contraband" to school. When I asked her
what she was doing, she lied and said she was putting her snack in the
back pack. OMG!!!!!! I hate sneaky deceptive children!!!!!!! The gum
didnt piss me off as much as her thinknig I fell off the turnip truck
yesterday. I pushed her out the door as she was sniveling this am!!!!!
GO TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!  I have an evil eye too. When I tell her not to
push me, she knows better and doesnt BUT........... lying is not ok in
my house.

More than likely your body is just out of whack from the huge weight
loss, but if you're concerned, it can't hurt to call your doctor.

OK, thanks - although on the chart it shows up as my goal being 172,
but if my month start is 180, shouldn't it be 175?  I looked on the
website for instructions... oh wait, I figured it out, "by default the
first current weight you report is used as the start weight".

OK, I'm going to redo mine, let's see if this works.
