I Googled for this info, but strangely enough, there isn't much in the way
of comments pertaining to the good, the bad, the ugly with the (relatively)
new Power Bar - Carb Select line of, um, chocolate bars (?)
Is the general consensus that these are just as crappy as Advantage Bars?
(They sure taste good, so probably so.)
Comments please.

Candy bars are how you got fat in the first place.

Power Bar PLUS CARB SELECT Ingredients: Protein blend (whey protein
isolate, calcium caseinate, soy protein isolate), maltitol syrup,
chocolate coating (maltitol, fractionated palm kernal oil, alkalized
cocoa, soy lecithin, vanilla extract), glycerine, alkalized cocoa,
almond butter, natural flavors, soy lecithin, salt, peanut flour,

Could be worse, I suppose. I don't eat any of these fake foods any
more, especially those with maltitol, as it explodes in my GI tract.

On the assumption that you are a guy I have this suggestion: When you feel
a desire to eat one of these bars, instead go to a quiet place and
masturbate. This will have the following advantages:
1. Properly done, it will give more pleasure
2. It will tend to slim instead of fatten
3. It will be good for your prostate
4. It's free

And for some variation - masturbate WITH it. It'll make you feel like you
Lowcarb masturbated and you won't go blind.

can't help on the power bar but ask if you have tried the Quaker Oats
Q-Smart bars? They are good tasting, have some alcohol and
aspartame...and offer 3 net carbs. I treat myself once in a while. They
are also generally available.
