It's Spring!

It's Spring, and most of my clothes are too big for me now (again)!
I'm quite handy with a sewing machine (among other things ;-), but it's
getting to the point where it's awkward to keep taking my old clothes
in -- you can only do so much taking in the sides and it's annoying to
have to put a LOT of work into practically remaking an entire top or
pair of pants when they don't seem worth the effort.  It's also
difficult to work with things like knit sweaters, so I'm going to bite
the bullet and buy some new stuff.  Also, I have a lot of stuff that
was bought with me feeling fat and dowdy in mind (i.e., just trying to
cover myself up) -- I want some CUTE stuff!  I wanted to wait until I
got down to 125 lbs, but that could take a while.  So today I bought 3
new tops (one of them will have to wait until I get down to 125 lbs,
but I absolutely LOVE it) and I'm going to buy some new pants soon.  I
made myself a promise that I'll toss out/give away at least one old
item for each new one I buy.

What a great feeling, buying cute clothes!  Not a chore to be dreaded
anymore, sounds like.  How fun! :)

===============================
If you're steadily losing weight you can buy cheap clothes at a local
Goodwill store.   I found denim jackets and heavy sweaters there for as
little as $2.50 each.  Jeans for $5.00.   Also found a nice $2.00 blouse
with the tag still on it (never worn).  You can donate them back as they
become too large for you.  Beats trying to constantly take in what you have
or buying new stuff you'll soon find too large and baggy.

Best deal I ever got was a heavy duty queen size bed quilt still in the mfg.
bag, brand new - for only $2.50 on 1/2 price day.  :-)

You do realize that you are complaining about having it too good.

The trouble with success is.....????

Congrats. And to know deep down in your soul that you have full control
of your weight and your general health is awesome, isn't it?
