Anyone have success with these guys?  My wife recently signed-up and iss
determined to make it work.

Any tips on possible substitute Soy protein bars and supliments instead of
their high-end stuff?

Any feedback will be appreciated.

LA Weight Loss is not low carb.

Yes, buy the $6 book and eat regular LC food from the store.  Start a
program of regular exercise (weight training and one or any of walking,
running, swimming, cycling, etc.).  To supplement those, have your wife hang
out in one of the many LC forums on the 'net, like here or in Yahoo.  There
really is very little real need to do LA Weightloss, but it is an option
(I'm only giving alternatives - if she's really determined to do that,
support her and happily pay the money - as long as she gets results, that
is).

Thank you for the response.

She is determined to stick to the plan as she has tried diet and exercise on
her own without the results she wants. You got it about the support... it's
worth the money if the results are there. I plan to try to eat what she eats
while on the plan, hopefully I can reap some benifits as well.

Very hard to do LA Weightloss and LC at the same time, since they want
you to eat two "starches" a day, which you cannot really do on LC.

As to the bars, you don't need to eat them to have success with LAW. My
wife does LAW, and did it before, and has never been into the bars,
because they are serious money. She just bought her first box. We will
see how long it lasts, but at $30+ a week (their recommendation for two
bars a day, which I just cannot imagine), it adds up pretty quickly,
even if you buy in bulk.

-Hollywood (who LC's while his wife LAWs with no conflict so far).
