Got on the scale this morning and it was 129 -- that makes 77.5 lbs
down!!!  I'm a really SAGGY 129, but 129, nevertheless :-)  And that's
WITH PMS.

I moved yesterday and am sore all over.  I'll be limping for a while (I
actually had to start using a cane yesterday).  I'm sure glad I managed
to take off all that weight BEFORE having to deal with the crisis of
moving, 'cause it's hell on the body even when you're NOT overweight.  I
STILL managed to stay low-carb throughout all this.  Fortunately, I had
the foresight to ask my son to pick up some chicken thighs and I cooked
up about 12 of them with some parmesan and spices a couple of nights ago
-- they've been a LIFESAVER as far as being able to just grab something
already cooked.  Good thing, too, because we forgot the microwave and
still have to bring it over.  Then I went to warm up a chicken leg last
night and the stove didn't work (breaker for it was off), so I had to
eat it cold (and it was still pretty damn good).  Macadamias have also
figured heavily in the last week.  Gotta go -- I'm heating up some
coffee water in the wok, which is the only pan I brought yesterday -- we
still have a LOT of stuff to move :-)

Congrats on reaching the 120's :) Hope that soreness eases up soon.

Woohoo! Great job:)

I bet you aren't as saggy as you think you are, honey. You need to post new
pictures. I am going to show my husband your pictures. He is so addicted to
weight lifting---he thinks one has to lift weights to look good. Bull:)

Thank you!

That's because you haven't seen me naked :-)  That would NOT be a pretty
picture.  As a woman on one of those post-weight-loss nip and tuck shows
said, at first when she lost a lot of weight, she and her husband were
excited and said "Oooooh!"  After a while, when they saw what her skin
looked like after losing a significant amount of weight, they both said
"oooooh...eeeeeeeww!"

Pretty soon (I know I keep saying that).  Moving is pretty time-
consuming, but now I'm only 3 lbs from goal.  I'll probably take a new
photo when I reach goal - I even have some ideas on how to pose for that
"special" progress photo (get your minds out of the gutter -- you have
to PAY to see THOSE photos ;-)

I'm happy to say that I now feel "tuckable" (i.e, I can tuck my shirts
in and not feel self-conscious about it -- I don't look like I did in my
20s and 30s, but in a way, that's refreshing -- at 50, I'm not EXPECTED
to have a flat, tight belly -- I'm expected to have a little pot belly,
even if I'm skinny :-) I haven't been exercising for a while now; I'm
looking forward to restarting it and seeing how the new size looks WITH
exercise :-)

I'm still kind of reeling from this.  Because of the move, I haven't
really been looking in mirrors much lately, so each time I see myself
I'm surprised again, especially if I happen to catch my reflection as
I'm walking into a store or accidentally past a mirror (like the one
sitting in the driveway waiting to be disposed of) -- it's like who IS
that?  Even my shadow looks a lot thinner :-)  It's so great to see
myself look like that again!  I used to be so disheartened when I would
see the reflection of myself walking up to a store door, even if I
WASN'T feeling disheartened until then -- now I smile when I see it and
people wonder what I'm smiling about :-)  You take so much for granted
when you are younger and thinner :-(

Wow, way to GO Saffire! That is very exciting!

Definitely yes on the moving. It's going on 3 years since I moved, and it
was very hard work for a middle-aged body. My legs ached for months
afterward, and it took almost a year for a little muscle tear in my tricep
to heal up. I thought afterwards that if I had been doing more
weightlifting, it would have made things a bit easier and possibly prevented
some of the injury and arthritic stuff. Hope it's over soon for you and that
you don't have to mover for a looooooonng time.

God, I HOPE not!  My body is a mass of bruises, especially on the shins
-- I'm thinking of taking a photo of it because it's so impressive :-)

I have an expensive massage chair and haven't been able to use it for
the last few days, when I needed it MOST, because I can't find the power
cord to it.  Oh, I HAVE it, because I remember packing it -- I just
don't know where I PUT it :-)  I could SOOOOOO use a massage right now
:-(
