Wow that's really strange. I only am showing five to ten posts a day. My
Isp is comcast - I guess I'd better call them!

I have Comcast, too. I have only seen 5 posts. I have had a lot of trouble
with Comcast.

Century started doing that to me at one point, then they simply dropped
usenet. Said it was "too expensive" and suggested I get a paid
subscription.
I switched to Grandecom which uses supernews.
Check google groups to catch up. :-)
Cheers!

You really should check with your news server; sounds as if they're having
trouble moving the posts downstream ...

The postings seem quite reduced to me too. I'm on SBC. Maybe it is a
seasonal thing.
There are also about half the usual number of participants in the
Robochallenge this month.
Perhaps there is a human predisposition to fatten up a bit as winter begins.

FWIW - I popped through this group awhile back, not sure how long it
was, but was over a year. At that point it seemed there was an almost
endless stream of posts. Most days recently, it seems like about 10
or so daily posts. My ISP is Conversent Communications out of Rhode
Island.

Man, I don't remember where you are living, but here in North Texas, it was
102 degrees F today. Winter was the last thing on my mind! First thing?
keeping the grass alive because we didn't get any rain from the hurricane.

Tell me about it. :-(
We did not get any rain from EITHER hurricane Katrina or Rita!
OTOH, we better be careful what we wish for. ;-)
