No alcohol and the funny smell returns!

Some of you may remember a few postings of mine from 2+ months ago
mentioning a strange smell that I appear to exude when I'm in ketosis
(or at least I've ASSUMED that it is a result of ketosis).

At the moment I am consuming no alcohol whatsoever (after a period when
I've consumed too much).  As a result I think my calorie consumption
has fallen sharply (both as a result of not getting any calories from
alcohol; and from not being tempted into Macdonald's, KFC, etc. on my
way from the pub to the bus stop!).

Sure enough, within a couple of days the smell started to return.
Slightly sweet-smelling and with a hint of vinegar.

(my breath seems to be ok though)

However I've noticed something else, although it's even harder for a
repressed English gentleman to describe than the above: the smell
appears to come from my nasal mucus to a large extent.  It is blowing
my nose that has led me to this conclusion (I won't bore you with a
detailed explanation...).

This probably means that while I can smell it most of the time, those
around me cannot (I hope so anyway).  The guy who sits next to me at
work is incredibly honest - I think he would have told me if he had
noticed anything!

Also - regarding my last posting about stalling...I am about to join a
gym around 50 yards from my office.  The plan is to have regular
workouts after leaving the office in the evening.

I haven't stepped on the scale yet to check whether or not my weight
loss has resumed (as a result of not drinking) but I will be doing that
soon.

Does being honest mean he'll volunteer to tell you that you smell?  Why
don't you ask to be sure?

Excellent idea.  Good for you.

So you can't tell from the way your clothes fit?  How long exactly have have
you been on the wagon?

BTW, I remember long, long ago when I used to notice a smell from that I
assumed to be "being in ketosis".  It was at the beginning of my LCing days.
Either I have become use to the odor or it has faded.  Luckily, NONE of the
women I have dated since then have ever mentioned it. :)

Have you tried drinking more fluids - water is infinitely better than booze
(for this purpose), BTW. :)

>> My friend is honest to the point of being blunt.  I suspect he is mildly autistic.  People sometimes find his honesty a bit offensive (we British are good at telling white lies to be polite & avoid causing offence) but nevertheless I'd trust him like I trust very few others.

The smell is coming from your wife's c.nt....
Its all that ketosis laden semen you shoot in her twat.

Some call it metallic, sweet or garlicy.  That's ketosis.

That should be true.  In the first couple of weeks the smell can
be strong enough for others to notice but it fades as the body
tunes the ketone production rate to be very close to the ketone
consumption rate.  Plenty can't tell at all after a couple of
weeks.
