I found a diet at www.eattobethin.com and I have already lost 5 pounds
in 2 days! I'm so happy, and I can't believe it's really working!

Big deal, I can do better than that with plain old exercising.  Not
every day, of course, but no miracle diet works every day either.

I've lost 30 pounds in the last 8 weeks without buying anything other
than the meat and vegetables I eat !

Who's got the better deal?

If you lost five pounds in two days, it was probably water.
You need to burn more than 3000 calories over the numer of calories you
consume to lose even one pound.  To lose five pounds of fat in two days
you would have to 15,000 calories more than you ate, 7,500 calories per
day.  Even if you ate nothing in those two days, that would not be
likely.

Fast weigh loss is usually the result of a diet that pulls water out of
your cells faster than you can replace it no matter how much water you
drink.   The fat cells remain in your body.  They just shrink.

Also, if you consume too much protein, your body leeches calcium from
your bones and breaks down muscle,  It is faster to lose protein than
to lose fat because protein has 4 calories per gram and fat has 9.
