and I gained 18 lbs :o(

Well, I dunno what happened (yes I do - i ate junk food for a whole year and
was in denial and i put the pounds back on!!)  I have real problems with
binging, stress eating and denial. I hit the lowest weight last summer then
it was like a springboard - I just started eating and being so
self-destructive. I have been so sick so often, catching every cold that
passes by and it always lands in my chest. You can't live on cookies and
cany bars and think your body can function. I'm brain-fogged, tired, cranky
and out of steam.

I'd always say I'd get on board the next day and of course didn't so it was
another day with no fuel and denial and binging.

So, now I must officially be a YoYo Dieter. I've seen so many of you make
sensible choices over the years, making steady progress or recover
gracefully from minor set-backs. I hope this time I can follow that lead and
stay on the wagon.

I started fresh yesterday and will re-read my LC books. I'll check in here
daily and try to keep a positive focus. I'm going to do Atkins induction for
2 weeks.

new stats as of 5/1/06:

WB, At least you're honest and don't have excuses as to why you
faltered. So get back on your LC horse and ride! :) Best Wishes
Laureen

thnaks but that's Nanner LOL

Years ago when i was single I dreamt that I met a man named Manner and he
was my perfect soul-mate. I thought that was pretty funny whenI woke up - I
think it was Scott Weiland from STP in the role of Manner.

No, that'd be Nanny or Nana I think. It's just a play on my name and a
nickname I got in college. I don't know too many grannies that would be hot
for Scott Weiland, LOL.

Depends on how far back into woods you go.

When I was a kid, my grandma had the hots for Tom Jones -- especially when
he'd gyrate.  Talk about disgusting...

I used to call my Gram and Gramps "Nanny" and "Pop Pop". I finally
stopped in my late 20's Sheesh!!! Pop Pop died and Nanny became a more
mature Gram. But as she was dying I wept and called her Nanny. I so
remember that moment.

I never had a nickname that stuck with me growing up but my dad called
me Pookie when I was little.
Funny how people get their pet names huh? Glad the Pookie dissolved
<smiling>

My daughter has about 10 of them LOL. I call her Lulu, Lulubelle, Lu
Bug, Livvy, Livvy Lu, Suzy Q, Loobie Lu. Dont know how the "Lu' part
became so popular but I have said it enough she answes to all of them.
I now call Larry "Pops" often.
