Hi everybody,
I've been at it since 4/04/2006, not an impressively long time to be sure,
but I'm right on track for my goal so far... I even received a positive
comment from one of the waiters at a place my wife and I eat at (rib-eye
steak sandwich or similar, no bun, broccoli instead of fries) fairly
frequently. He asked me to write down all the foods he could eat so that
he'd also lose weight, and I just wrote down the names of two books I've
read regarding LC and said "here's all the info you need to get going". I
don't think that that's what he was looking for unfortunately!
I've found that it isn't as hard for me to stay on track this time, probably
since I've already had success once at this, and saw what the results of
not eating LC did to me over the last few years after I stopped.
Interestingly, the first time around I found myself evangelizing LC much
more than I am now - I suppose part of that was me just trying to convince
myself that this was a viable alternative to the stuff I'd been eating, but
now I don't say anything unless someone asks me what I've been doing to lose
the flab that used to hang off my frame like Spanish moss on a tree :)
Now I'm heading out on my recumbent trike, bundled up against the 49 degree
Chicago winds, and with any luck I'll be able to get in a few miles before
the rains start again!
Anyway, good luck with all your goals this week, and have fun.

The biking can really help a lot in your program.
Stick with the foods and the exercise.
Pedal hard into the wind for weight loss, and pedal joyously with the
wind at your back for delight.
