I pigged out a bit - but on LC stuff so I hope it's not going to have a big
impact :o)

I made broccoli & ham crustless quiche, a veggie platter w/veggie dip
(slight pig out there) also a spinach salad w/walnuts, mushrooms and
balsamic vinagerette. Bagels for the non-LCers with Lox and onions, cream
cheese and I made veggie cream cheese (w/scallions, carrot, bell pepper) , I
ate a good amount of the salmon with cream cheese, I got Low-sodium, no
sugar added bacon and that was yummy (had 2 or 3 pieces) Deviled eggs (ate
1) then for dessert I cut up cantaloupe and strawberries. i whipped cream in
2 batches, a small batch w/Splenda for DH and I - the other had sugar. I
think I ate 10 strawberries and maybe 1 cup of whipped cream (at the very
most)

So - I know I piled up the carbs but it wasn't from anything terrible. Too
much broccoli maybe, too many strawberries and cream. That was my Mother's
Day treat. I had alot of fun too :o) After the Lox I know I'll retain water
so I am hoping not to have a heart attack on the scale tomorrow LOL

So - what did you have?

Happy Mothers Day!!!!!!!!!!!

nanner - you cannot possibly eat too much broccoli, other than from a
possible 'gas' standpoint.

Also, stawberries don't have many carbs or calories.

So, if you overeat a bit, look at the OTHER foods (cream, walnuts, cheese,
etc.).

Glad you had a good MD!

I went to a Mother's Day buffet brunch with my Mom, Grandma, and the
rest of my family. I definitely pigged out a bit, but 100% of it was
low-carb stuff, aside perhaps from the one bloody mary.

I know - that's what I was saying. I over ate those for Induction though-
for Induction I blew the day LOL.

Agreed, I didn't have much too much cream cheese and I normally do eat that
on induction anyway. It's the veggie dip (sour cream with packaged mix) that
I dipped a bit too heavily into. I didn't have many walnuts either. There
was about 1/4 cup in a large salad. I had 2 small servings. I just ate wayyy
more food than I normally would in a day so i hope i don't have to do much
damage control. WI is tuesday officially!

Thank you

I had a dessert party yesterday. I had a very small piece of Myra's New
York Style Cheesecake with 4 strawberries. The rest of the people had a
Baskin Robbins Chocolate/withChocolate Chip Cake. It didn't bother me at
all, which is unusual. Today, I had a small piece of leftover pork steak
for breakfast. For lunch I had a large piece of Myra's Cheesecake, and a
pack of peanuts. I'll probably have a couple of poached eggs and salad
for dinner, so not too exciting, but I loved the cheesecake and peanuts.
:-)

Happy Mother's Day to all too.

Last thanksgiving I made Myra's cheesecake and took it to a holiday party.
Didn't tell anyone it was low carb until AFTER it was gone.  Interestingly,
those who had it enjoyed it very much and were glad to know it didn't have
sugar.

A good LC dessert trumps any other kind of dessert for me (makes my BG
happy, too)!

I'm with you there, especially, since her recipe is wonderful. It also
feels good to know that you're not shooting the numbers sky high, and
not setting yourself up for cravings.

I miss Myra's Cheesecake. I will make it for my daughters Bday coming
up but the calories and fat will just kill me. Almonds, butter, cream
cheese and eggs dont like me anymore. It's a lose lose situation LOL

The fam took me to brunch. I had 2 bites of pork roast, a half a slice
of bacon, romaine hearts salad with a few kidney beans and a pinch of
cheese and fat free white dressing.
Wasn't too exciting in food department ( never is much anymore but that
ok, I'm not complaining) so had a wonderful weekend camping and nice
Sunday anyway.

I did get wild flowers with asparagus fern from my daughter though ;)
