I am not high on calories. Every time I check it I am between 1500 and 1700.
If you do 150 pounds and multiply it by 13 for sedentary, I should be losing
until I get to the 150 mark. Then I should have to reduce calories to get
to a lower weight. But I am not at 150 yet. I am working on increasing my
activity by running. I just started a week ago because I couldn't wake up in
the morning. I run as far as I can then walk to catch my breath then run
again. I am not going very far but it is a start. At best I am doing 1/2
mile.
I did this diet before, about 7 years ago when I was only 38 and I lost a
lot of weight quickly. I think therefore that something changed in my body
and no so much that I am doing it wrong.

At 230 I don't lose on 8.5 cal/pound. Don't count on losing at 13. And
what happened to your body is called age.

So how do I fix that? Is there any way to reverse it?

I'd say it's metabolism. They say people with slower metabolisms live longer
but find it harder to lose weight. It's a mixed blessing I guess. There are
ways to increase it... the best one is probably weight training.

The run - walk sequence is very good.
Keep at it.
As you get older, you find it can be harder to lose weight.
Don't place rigid confidence in the "X Grams per Pound" rules.
Metabolisms do vary between people, something like efficiencies in
automobile engines.
With humans, it is almost impossible to change spark plugs or to reset
the ignition timing.
Exercise is a good tune-up.
