Hi there,

how about salted peanuts, are they fine when doing low-carb? How much
fiber do they contain? Good or bad carbs? :)

Greetings,

Daniel

Daniel,

It's a good idea now for you to learn to read labels.  All carbs are good
until to eat too many of them, IMO, that is.  Some foods do have high
nutrient value and are yet low in carbs and calories.  Many call those 'good
carbs'.  I don't think peanuts fit their notion of good carbs because
peanuts are much higher in fat than carbs, so they would probably be best
called "good fat".  But in that regard, walnuts and almonds are better.

The Paleo diet people are against peanuts.

Some people have "allergies" to them.

Why not try pecans or almonds instead?

(Note: Portion control can be difficult with nuts.)

I snack during the day on an assorted nuts jar.  They are a mixture of
almonds, pecans, filberts, brazil nuts and peanuts.  I love nuts and they
are my main snack food during the day.  Having said that I usually don't eat
more than 3 or 4 servings of a 1/4 cup each a day.
