Hey-
A friend of mine started induction yesterday (Memorial Day) and today
(day 2) he has been dizzy/light headed ALL day long! It was so bad he
didn't even go into work because it was just impossible to go in. I
told him that when I did induction I did experience being dizzy a few
days after I started but it was not constantly, but rather it would
come and go and then finally the problem went away. I thought I would
post this here to ask if being constantly dizzy after starting
induction was still a normal side effect or if perhaps there was a more
serious problem that I need to make him aware of.
Thanks
P.S. His carb count for day 1 was 14, so far on day 2 (today) it has
been 12 (he's about to have dinner shortly.)

A little "homebrewed" physiology....eat more/more often. The lack of
carbs takes away the quick and ready energy source he has been using. LC
eating provides plenty of energy but requires (to grossly oversimplify)
a more complex mechanism. Even now, if I do not eat regularly, I will
get dizzy.

At one point I recall Dr A suggesting that the more the detoxic effects
the more the person stands to gain healthwise from low carbing. The
books don't much mention detox so maybe this was an interview?
Anyways I suggest the dizziness will pass soon. Maybe have extra
water until it does.
Did he used to have a lot of caffeine and does his Induction include
all of the directions in the book? Stopping caffeine cold turkey will
cause headaches and such. It might be caffeine withdrawal.
