Hungry men more attracted to obese women - British Journal of

London: A man's taste in women depends on how hungry he is, according
to research cited in British newspapers today.

According to The Times, a man on an empty stomach is more likely to be
attracted to a heavier woman, research published in the British Journal
of Psychology showed. The survey was carried out by researchers at
Liverpool University and Newcastle University, surveying 60 university
students, half of whom had just eaten, and the other half of whom had
skipped a meal.

The students were shown images of women with their faces blocked off,
and were asked to judge them on a scale of one to nine.

"Hungry men are more tolerant and rate obese women more positively than
men who have eaten," said Viren Swami, one of the two psychologists who
carried out the study. - Sapa-AFP
