This trip began July 8th 2006  in Williamsburg, VA.  I went  to
Washington D.C. on Amtrak's Northeast Regional.  My sister and nephew
traveled on Amtrak from Springfield, MA and met me in D.C.  From there
we took the Capitol Ltd. from D.C. to Chicago coach class.  In Chicago
we boarded the superliner Empire Builder where we had a bedroom for
the trip across the northern Great Plains and through the Rockies to
Seattle. We rented a car in Seattle and drove to Port Angeles (WA) on
the Olympic Peninsula, directly across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from
Victoria on the island of Vancouver, BC, Canada.  We spent time with
Laureen and Larry in Port Angeles who took us up into the Olympic
Mountains; to the bleak but gorgeous western coast of Washington and
via Ferry to the beautiful Canadian city of Victoria.  The trip was
about 11 days altogether.

Finally -- a month later -- I have my pictures posted.  It was a LOT
of work editing/resizing/renaming all these pictures, setting up a
website etc.   My regular website is already full, so I set up a new
website for these pix.  I finally got ALL my pictures from the trip up
(except the ones with me in them!)  from our trip to the Pacific
Northwest.  I haven't written the travelogue to go with it yet, that's
for another day.  But the pix are in logical order and all with a
descriptive caption.  It's a start; I'll finish the website another
day.
