Over the last 6 months, I've watched as Heinz LC Ketchup slowly
disappeared from the NJ supermarkets, until it was gone.   I assumed
they dropped it because of low demand.   Well today, it reappeared as
Heinz Reduced Sugar Ketchup at Shoprite.     Carb content is still 1g
per TBSP, and while I haven't tried it yet, it still uses Sucralose,
and I think it's likely identical.  It comes in a bottle with a blue
label.

So, if you want the best LC ketchup available, it's back.

I have been sensing, in general that some of the LC products are
starting to come back under slightly different names.  It seems that
while the idea of LC was considered to be a form of extreme or fad
dieting, the concept of sugar and refined carbohydrates being a leading
cause of diabetes is becoming an acceptable idea, if not irrefutable to
the masses.

We have traveled quite a bit this last summer (5 months actually), and
whenever I found a new Lo-Carb item, from a major brand, I made a note
of it. When I got home I corralled the supermarket manager, and told him
the items I wanted. Some he said didn't exist, and the second answer I
got was that Atkins is out of fashion. Well, he then got an earful from
this old gal, and I told him that there are very many diabetics who have
to drastically reduce their carbs for medical reasons. Having the
Low-Carb ( not Low sugar) items gave them a little variety in the diet.
I now see one of those items on the shelves. I shall just keep fighting!

I guess the customer just has to stand up for us all!
