Not that I have a problem with it if she did, but I'm just wondering....I
see she has a lot of cookbooks out...many seem to be LC.  Anyone have them
all or most of them?  Comments?

Isn't she the lady who used to maintain a LC research site?

There was someone with initials JR (I honestly don't remember her name)
who had an extensive LC research site. I wonder whatever happened to it.

I don't think she got really rich, but I think she's quite comfortable.
She had mentioned once that she might even get her own show on Food
Network. I don't know what happened, or if she is still negotiating, but
I would love to see it work out for her. I don't know if she had a LC
research site or not though.

Laura Richard is the person who had the research website. It's no longer
active but you can find it through web archive.

I doubt anyone gets really rich writing cookbooks, but I think she does make
a living from them.  She has a sporadic newsletter.  You can subscribe at
her blog:  http://holdthetoast.com/blog

If you didn't find her Googling it's because her name is spelled Carpender.

I have three of Ms Carpender's cookbooks and I love them.
I have /500 low carb recipes/ which has a recipe for wheat free
chocolate chip cookies, low carb barbeque sauce, and a couple of baked
chicken dishes that have become household staples.

/15-minute low-carb recipes/ has some really good side dish recipes
including a mushroom risotto made with cauliflower, as well as a whole
section on crock-pot recipes which require only 15 minutes of prep time
but cook all day.

And this last christmas we got the /Low Carb Barbeque Book/ which we
haven't really used yet since it's winter.  I did notice a section in
back with various low-carb drink recipes.

If you go to her website she used to post sample recipes.  I think it's
