Husband and I have been taking Metamucil capsules for several years.
Our weight is now excellent and his cholesterol has returned to
normal.  Our doctor is very happy with our results.

But since we each take 4 capsules, twice a day, the cost of buying
Metamucil capsules has become almost cost prohibitive. ($12.99 for 160
capsules)

I have found three alternatives at our local shopping outlet:  Ultra-
Fiber; Fibercon; and Fiber Laxative by Top Care.

I tried to google a comparison of these but had no luck.

What is your opinion of these products and which of these capsules
would you use instead of Metamucil capsules?

Thanks for your input.

I would use natural fiber such as found in food. But, if you "must" have
capsules, get the generic store brands.

What Pat said.

Fiber supplement in my diet: salads, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, etc.
