I positively love iceberg lettuce.  I'm eating a salad of iceberg,
some crumbled bacon, a tiny bit of reconstituted lemon juice, and a
little sprinkle of Kraft Parmesan.  I wish I'd had a tomato and a
lemon, but it's still a joy.  I'm going to make another one.

Iceberg just has that refreshing, watery crunch that you need
sometimes.  Not a whole lot of "nutrients", but no harm, either!

I think that I could pretty happily eat a large head of it every day.
Sometimes with EV olive oil, always good tomato when I can get it,
usually with some kind of cheese, and freshly squeezed rather than
reconstituted lemon juice if lemons are handy.  BLT salads rock.

I never thought of a BLT salad.  Thanks for the idea!

And I agree that quality ingredients are necessary to any WOE.  I was
following that cheese and Koolaid diet thread, much as someone who
couldn't take her eyes off of a car accident or train wreck.
