No idea.  However, I do know that multi-vitamin pills are small, so there
can't be too many carb gremlins in there.

Actually these are pretty large which is what caused my concern.

However could you imagine it being more than 1g?

Well, the main place you would get carbs would be in added sugars.
There's no reason to add sugars to a vitamin, since it's not chewable.

If you look on their website, find your vitamin, and click on the tab
that says "Product Information", you will get a nutritional label
telling you exactly what the content is.  I don't see any of these
that list carbs, except on the kids chewables, and everything else
seems to say No Sugar, No Artificial Colors, No Artificial Flavors,
Sodium Free, No Wheat, No Gluten, No Dairy, Yeast Free, so I can't see
where you'd get any carbs.

Well mine are so huge they are meal so they must have calories. <grin>
I take 2 of the Costco brand multis a day and I dont do pills well and
find them BIG. I was eating 2 chewable ones which are for kids for a
long time, I would think they are sweetened with no calorie sweetener.
I just got sick of grape, cherry and orange BLECK!!!

The way to tell is to look at the list of ingredients. This is not the
same as the little table that tells you what vitamins and their quantity.

Since this list will vary from formulation to formulation, perhaps you
should give the list of ingredients and then someone can tell you if one
or more of those ingredients are "hidden carbs".

It is helpful if you learn about learning about foods when you go on a
diet, and you seem to be doing some of that.

I take a multivitamin & mineral pill every day and they are a large
pill. I just weighed 10 of them and they weighed 10 grams. At 1 gram
each, there couldn't be but a fraction of a gram of carbs in it.

OTOH, there could be as much as a gram of carbs in it.  What are the
ingredients?

Could be, two of the ingredients are dextrin and cornstarch.

Sounds as if, for those at least, one should count carb grams according to
weight to be safe.

How many vits are you taking?  I like having a kitchen scale myself.

Actually, I wouldn't recommend you buy a scale just to weigh out vits.

Actually I'm beginning to want one to weigh some of these foods. I
blew it a few days just because I failed to measure things right.

I got a cheap scale at Wal-Mart last year -- I think it was about
$10.00.  It weighs in either ounces or grams, and was pretty accurate
last time I checked it.

I can't remember right now what the formula is for checking the
accuracy -- four or five quarters should weigh a certain amount.  I'd
imagine Google would pull it up, or someone here would know.

It's been really handy.

I'm taking 2 per day of those "men's health" multi-vitamin that they
sell at GNC [in a black box]. The 'suggested dose' on the box is 2
pills. I'm trying to load up on inositol for OCD and other issues
unrelated to this diet.
