Weight Loss Forum / Low Carb / January 2009Fitday 2.0 & Fitday Premium w/ PCSycn
Anyone using any of these? Is Fitday 2.0 PC worth the $30 price? Is Fitday Premuim (which allows you to sync your online fitday with your PC Fitday) for the $65/year price? I've wanted the sync feature for a long time and now that it is here, it seems too pricey. I still use the old PC version of Fitday and haven't been to the website for ages so wasn't aware of the new versions. I have fitday 1.0.0.something and find it well worth $30. I do not know what has changed for version 2. Glad you hear from you, Peter! I still have the old PC version, but I never quite got into it because I use so many different PCs and didn't want to have to transfer files all over the place. So, I relied on the web version. But now with the sycn function I could use the web version any place and then sync up at home. It's a great NG, during the off season it's like a family with plenty of off-topic arguing over politics and the like. But AI8 begins next Tuesday so we'll all be back on topic discussing the show. Once the show narrows down the top 12, there are also a couple of cool contests that are run every year on ATVAI for predicting who the winner will be and who will be eliminated each week. I've stayed in the group for the off season this time, a very lively group to say the least, but it's especially fun when AI is going on. Since I rarely leave the house I don't need to have something I can synch with, if you have wanted it for a long time you must have a need for it. $65 a year does sound rather pricey but I don't know of any competition in the field to drive the price down. I have quit tracking on Fitday though I still use it to check out carb counts and to analyze new recipes. I have no trouble keeping carbs low but am not good at portion control. Not much point in tracking if it isn't doing any good. The web/PC version would fit my lifestyle very well. But version 2.0 is another 30 bucks...over what I pay for version 1, which I didn't use. But the web versions offers no ads and PC sync. Same here. I was feeling rich last year and bought the program -- then they updated their site. It looks, too, like right after I bought it they released v.2? I don't use it that much -- web or PC version. At this point I'm just jotting down notes in my day planner. Trying to record every. little. thing. I just got too anal about it. But the $65 a year? Nope -- no way on that. But then, I never go anywhere. :-) Let us know what you figure out, Roger. I just started South Beach and am using the free fitday..
