Your consistency at always being wrong is truly inspiring.
If you don't want to see my posts, use your kill file, or do you prefer
to piss and moan?

Very amusing morph of the spammer's URL. Thanks for the laugh today.
But since the topic is burning fat I'll make a comment on it.
Folks love to say calories in equals calories out and that's all there
is. The trouble is it's not what we're here for.
We're actually here for fat grams into storage minus fat grams out of
storage, and no matter what the calorie situation as long as there's a
net flow of fat out of storage the loss is working.
Stepping on the scale isn't what we're really here for. In almost every
case we're here for size loss. The scale just happens to give an easy
measurement that's a side effect of that size loss. But it doesn't work
all the time - Very many folks report a pattern of inch loss followed by
pound loss.
Counting calories is similar to why we use the scale. Calories are
easier to count than the effort it takes to understand how the various
macronutrients impact flow of fat in or out of storage. Calories, like
the scale, are simple and easy and not based on a skilled approach.
Getting fat out of storage can be done by burning it or whatever. I
don't care as much if it was burned or what, just that there's less of
it in storage. If I could figure out how to eat so that I sweat oil I
would do that. ;^)

Huh? For the last 5 months, I've been trying to reduce the carbs that
I'm eating. I haven't done it in any kind of organized approach, but
nonetheless, I'm 20 lbs lighter today (I'm presuming that there is a
connection.) Now I'm trying to get my carbs down to 100g/day, which
hasn't been a terribly difficult task. If I can hold this plateau for
awhile, I may try to go lower. Bottom line, low carbs seem to be working
for me.
As for the paraphrased 1st Law of Thermodynamics (calories in equals
calories out), there are too many cases where people feel that they are
starving on 1700 Kcal/day, and don't lose weight, rather they lose
metabolic energy. Conversely, there are those who have lost weight on
3000 Kcal/day. The former will eat a reduced calorie diet, and the
latter a reduced carbohydrate diet (calories not restricted). At least
this is the contention of Gary Taubes, and it seems to work.

Just be sure you don't excrete fat too fast through the rectum, or you
better carry an extra pair of trousers with you.
