I went for my annual checkup yesterday, and all my numbers are down:
blood pressure, cholesterol (bad down, good up), and blood sugar.

When I told my doctor I was eating red meat, mayonnaise, and real
salad dressing (among other things, of course) her eyes nearly bugged
out of her head.

So satisfying.

Did you tell her what you aren't eating?  That's the real key.

Yep, told her I was avoiding sugar and starches.  She said something
about bread having a lot of carbs then was surprised again when I told
her one of the local chains had their own brand of bread that only has
6 carbs per slice (and it costs $1.59 and tastes like bread!).

Since I aim for 20 carbs per meal, this works out nicely.
