Pamsta - 21 Dec 2003 06:28 GMT Where do you get this prot shake powder?
From previous:
Thanks, I have printed off your recipe and will give it a try. The boxed pancakes are yucky, IMO!
I notice you like to use that brand of protein powder, where do you find Precision Engineered Protein Powder?
Thanks Jenny! I think it is awesome you have so many recipes to share, not to mention all that knowledge and experience!

Jenny - 21 Dec 2003 14:17 GMT Pam,
I get the Precision Engineered Protein Powder in the Mall at Vitamin World. It's their store brand.
I'm in New England. I'm not sure if this chain is national. However, other stores also sell it. They used to sell it at Wal-mart, which is where I first found it, but no longer do. But perhaps you can find it elsewhere. If not, there are other whey protein brands available at GNC that many people like. Just check the labels that there aren't more than 2 grams per serving.

Have not heard of Vitamin World but will keep an eye out for it.

Jenny - 07 Jan 2004 15:07 GMT Diane,
Though I live in Massachusetts, I'm only about 12 miles from Keene.
Where are the rest of you New Hampshire folks located?

Pamsta - 10 Jan 2004 04:53 GMT Lets think "SPRING" and perhaps meet somewhere central for a chat and lunch! How does that sound? We can bring it up in March to everyone and see who would like to participate and figure where is central for most new englanders.
I found a low-carb protien shake mix, and Jenny's recipe for low carb waffles was wonderful. I am thinking they will make awesome strawberry shortcake base too! Come on June!
Pam :-)

Jenny - 10 Jan 2004 16:37 GMT I'd love to do a New England get together, once mud season is over!
Glad you liked the pancake recipe. Now try the low carb pumpkin bread with the protein and grated coconut. Pure heaven! <g>

All our mud is frozen. -2F this morning.
Jenny - 10 Jan 2004 18:25 GMT It was -10 F. on our outdoor thermometer this morning.
But then, it's January and this is New England. Go Patriots!!!! <g>
The coldest thermometer reading I've ever seen was -54 F. which I saw in 1981 when I lived in Burlington Vt. It was so cold, the door on my car warped and would not close properly and at the supermarket parking lot the next day the engines were running on all the parked cars.

Ouch. DH is in California working on a job (12 days) I am back to induction to pay for my holiday sins (wasnt really too bad but need to discipline of induction to get on the wagon)
I think I printed that recipe for the bread, will have to check and plan on it after my two weeks!
Yea, Go Pats! (brrr, glad I am going to be sitting next to the toasty wood stove and not in some frikin freezing football stadium!)
Pam, dreaming of warm tropical breezes!
Anglea Woollcombe - 11 Jan 2004 03:38 GMT it's been in the - 40 here the last three to four days. the farthest that i go is to work and home. i try and not go anywhere else it is way to cold for me. angie

And to save a message slot, Pamsta, If I could have gotten tix to the Patriots game, I'd have been there!
This fall I sat in the stadium enduring 22 degree cold and pouring rain watching the best college football a person could ask to see and loving every minute of it. There's something about being at the stadium surrounded by fans and experiencing the game without the intervention of TV hucksters and yakking announcers that makes it worth all the suffering.
Plus, being a New England type, the suffering makes me feel all the more virtuous. And, unlike some other New England teams I could mention, the Pats come through in a crisis!.
