I'm aware that this is slightly OT. However, I have interest in
low-carb diets and have posted here before. I also believe that many
of you live in the NY are and have a tendency to buy poultry more than
"regular" dieters.

While in New York this spring, I observed chicken of the brand "Big
Apple Farm" or similar at a supermarket. I want to get in contact with
the company.

I haven't been able to find them through the Internet. I even tried
the yellow pages directory. It is unclear whether any of the companies
with the name "Big Apple Farm" really represent a poultry corporation.

If any of you New Yorkers go to a local supermarket, may I ask you to
check out their contact details? It should say on the back of the
packaging. I would graciously accept your kind assistance with this.

May I even beg you to find them in the local phone book? That would be
even more gratefully accepted.

I'm interested in their address, phone number and possibly email.

Thanks in advance!!

I'm looking forward to your response.

I also do hope that the mad cow doesn't spread too much.

Regards.

Is this it perhaps?  The company makes a brand of hotdogs called "Big
Apple" as well as doing other organic meat and poultry products.

Take care,
Carmen

Thanks a lot to both of you!! I still don't think I've found what I
was looking for. It was a whole chicken.

I'll have to try to find a way to find out.

Take care!!

If you could tell us what part of NY you were visiting and what supermarket
you saw the product in it might help. I'm in western NY and the name doesn't
sound familiar at all.

Jeri,

That's awfully nice of you to consider helping me. My friend, whom I
visited, should know this. I should have to ask him and return to you
guys.

Regards.

I believe I saw it at a Foodtown store in Brooklyn. I'm also fairly
certain that the package mentioned something about a special feed for
the birds. That's the best of my recollection right now.

Thanks in advance!!

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards.
