Poor Mu_sical chairs is jealous. JC manages to be offensive *and*
helpful; as opposed to Mu_ng beans who is merely a Mu_nure patty (Ok,
it's a stretch) to avoid.

I disagree with a lot of what Mu says, but opinions contrary to my own make
me defend my opinions (sometimes just in my own head), which forces me to
think and examine _why_ I have those opinions, which keeps me from just
blindly accepting things.

Understood and agreed with - to a point.
The provisos I'd add are that the opinion offered should have a
modicum of sincerity about it, be logically developed from good data,
and be for the benefit of the discussion. Even unsupported opinions
can be useful in the context if so characterized. But Mu spends
entirely too much time sneering, strutting, slandering and smearing to
be taken seriously as a contributor.
I've had to change my mind over the years a lot of times after getting
a fuller explanation than I had. No real problem with that. Hard to
listen to anyone who has hopes for a bad future in mind for most
people, like Mu.

I almost choked on a fuckin' sunflower seed.
I usually don't eat anything until evening on weekdays. One example of a
meal is a quarter of a Hillshire polska kielbasa, a hunk of aged cheddar,
and a handful of smoked almonds. I eat two meals a day and maybe a snack or
two on the weekends.
I've lost 30 - 40 pounds several times.
I used to run in 10 and 15k races.

That is a seriously good question.
I lifts weights for a hobby, so I bulk up with high carbs to build muscle
and get stronger and then I go low carb for a while to cut some fat. Low
carb is a great way of eating in conjunction with weight training.

How much carbs do you consume per day? I will not be able to function on
20g or less carbs per day and have good weight training sessions. I feel
weak.
Right now, I probably consume about 100g/day.
JC Der Koenig - 08 Jan 2004 03:18 GMT
I consume less than 20g per day. I don't do much high rep stuff when I'm
dieting, which has a lot to do with it. A powerlifting type workout is what
I find best for the situation.
