Ummm...basic arithmetic?

So, if I started out at bust Bust: 53.5 Waist: 45.5 Hips: 58 and am now
bust 46.5 waist 39.5 hips 52.5, I have lost 7 off my bust (53.5 minus
46.5) 6 off my waist (45.5 minus 39.5) and 5.5 (58 minus 52.5) off my
hips.  Total loss, therefore, is 18.5.

Um, I thought you started out around 130 pounds.  How could you have a 95
inch waist at 130 pounds?  Are you sure your first measurements weren't in
centimeters instead?

Luna,

At first I thought she measured in centimeters the first time, too, so I got
out the tape measure to check.  The corresponding inches to those centimeters
in the first set actually are smaller than her second set of numbers.

Angie, If I were you I would toss out the first set of numbers and just start
with the second measurements and go from there. Better yet, ask a friend or
relative to help you take new measurements and start from scratch.

Do you think she could have got the tape measure the wrong way round?  I
mean, and been measuring from the end with the high numbers?

That thought crossed my mind, too, but I don't think so. My tape measure only
goes to 96 inches. If she started at the wrong end it would mean something
absurd like a 10 inch chest. I think Angie should ask someone she is
comfortable with to help hew take the measurements.

Angie, if you are indeed gong to join a gym, most will take your measurements
for you.

Not being funny, but I think you're mixing up inches and centimetres.
If you were right, this would make the loss on your hips alone 49
inches.  It simply isn't possible for this to be true unless your
starting weight was more than the average killer whale.  If it were,
let's face it, the skin of your bottom would be dragging along the
ground behind you.  I suggest you re-measure, this time in
centimetres.

It might be best if you have a professional do the measurement.  Many
of those measurements appear to be incorrect.

Take care,

You lost FIVE FEET (60 inches) from your waist? That's more than the
height of some people I know. I agree that you should throw out the
original set of numbers. Or better yet, don't worry about measurements.
Just judge by the fit of your clothes.

How long ago were your "before" measurements taken?
