Hello,

I also started doing induction this past Monday, after having lurked around
this forum for sometime and purchased i think the wrong book i got "Atkins
for life" i will order "Atkins' New Diet Revolution" when i go back to work.

My wife thinks I'm a bit of a kook, in her defence she is a low read NO fat
person and Max's out on Carbs, so i wont go there with her, she seems to
think i am a bit out of sorts with myself at the moment and i agree the
first couple of days where really quite tough. No headaches but really quite
tired most of the time. I told her it will pass?

I do exercise daily, mostly cycling i think it would be easier if i could
get rid of 10 - 15 Kg's, all Metric where i live.

Cheers Craig

I used to be that way--low fat/low meat/lots of carbs. And what did it get
me? No weight loss, that's for sure!

I started Atkins during June, right in the middle of our cycling season.
When the others would have a rest stop and munch on the "energy" bars, I
would munch on one of those stick mozarella cheeses.  After awhile, I didn't
feel the need for the cheese, even.  I have ridden 2 centuries and 6 metric
centuries this year, as well as many smaller distances while on the diet. As
I lost weight, my hill climbing improved!  Be sure to drink a lot of water.
It's important on this diet.
