I thought I read in one of the posts that the Subway wrap was $2.99.  I
tried the turkey/bacon melt today and while it was very good it costs me
$4.79 and there really wasn't enough to it to keep me from being hungry.  I
came home and ate some cheese to supplement.

yeah. I saw it for $4.49 Canadian... I asked why it was cheaper than other
locations and I was told "we need to raise our price, we have it priced
incorrectly"... The regular price in Canada is about $5.19.
Stupid expensive.

it is small, and not that filling for me.

Re the Subway wrap, it was expensive but it did fill me up for lunch.
It tasted good but was also very messy.

Subway, the sandwich you can eat with a spoon.

I had a low carb wrap today and was very disappointed, it cost $4.50 and
there wasn't hardly anything in it. Don't think I'll have another, I can
make them at home.
I use a low carb tortilla called Don Pancho.

Another option at Subway is to order a regular 6" sub and replace the
roll with a wrap. It's 50 cents extra. I tried this tonight: got a
roasted chicken with provolone cheese, lettuce, green pepper,
cucumber, pickles, grated cheese and vinegar in a wrap. (Can anyone
tell me how many carbs that was? I opted not to get tomato just in
case).

It's normally $3.49 in a roll, so with the 50-cent surcharge it was a
wash in re the ballyhooed "Atkins wraps," which go for $3.99 here in
northeastern PA.

It was fairly filling and fairly tasty, but nothing special. As other
posters have suggested, the best low-carb choice at Subway is probably
a salad filled with all the veggies they have, and as much meat as you
can talk the clerk into putting in it, topped with oil and vinegar.

The wraps are OK once in awhile, but I can't get too excited about
them.

Yours must have been fuller than the tiny thing I had....I goobled it up and
wanted two more.  Oh, mine wasn't messy because it was so small -- that's
why I'm speculating that yours was fuller than mine.

I have one word for the Subway wrap: PATHETIC!

The one I had last night had about the mass of HALF of one of their 6" subs.
Looked NOTHING like the stuffed-to-capacity, decadently-dripping,
double-fisted feast they show on the commercials and print ads.  I could
almost enclose the entire sandwich within my two hands.  Total WASTE of
money, and I will NOT be a return customer.

I've had it a few times when I didn't have time to prepare lunch before work.
It's $3.99 in NE Ohio and takes me through the work day.  (Of course, I
purposely take lunch late and am on my way home two hours later, ready to
prepare dinner for my family.)
I wouldn't get it every day (or even more than once/twice a week) but it's
convenient and (as another poster put it) tasty.

I paid $3.95 (USD) today for the Turkey  Bacon melt, and it was a bargain.
It was completely filling and delicious.   It cost less than the carby
burgers or subs I used to gobble down.  Hooray for Subway!  Finally, good
low-carb fast food!

I'm really starting to believe that the various subways are making these
things differently.  Mine was more wrap than anything else.  It left me
upset (it was delicious).

Rog,

i liked mine, and so did my wife.  Plenty filling, tasty, affordable and
convenient.  i'll take a pic next time and post it so you can compare.

I have noticed same re Subway and different portions --- one Subway

I'd appreciate that very much!  And I very much enjoyed mine, too, just to
make that clear.  I am a 250 lb dude, though, so maybe that why I saw it as
a tiny little thing -- just enough to get my attention :)

I think you may be right Roger; their training may not be consistent from
store to store -- probably because it's such a new and different item.  I've
had two or three wraps on different occassions now (all from the same Subway
store next door to where I work), and each one had so much filling that they
could hardly get the tortilla shell wrapped around it.  Yet I read other
posts that say the opposite, including yours.

BTW, I was amazed when the lady making the sandwiches told me that the new
low-carb wraps were their current biggest sellers!

I think they made a mistake at our subway.  It was a fat one, and was 2.99.
Very good.
Before you all drive to Rocky Mount, We will go get another one to see if
they have wised up.

Are you in Rocky Mount, NC Jacqueline?  If so, you're literally right down
the road from me (I-95, that is).  I'm in Emporia, VA, just over the line
from NC.
