I think I asked this before, but reviewing the posts, never found my post or
the replies?

Do pure extracts (like vanilla, peppermint, almond, etc used in baking)
have carbs?   Why not add these to decafe coffee with a Splenda?   Thx for
replies

Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups:
alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.

Why do you use decaf coffee? Doesn't caffeine enhance the thermogenic
effect?

Vanilla has about 1/2 carb per teaspoon.  I can't find info on any OTHER
extracts, so I just count them the same as vanilla.

I do use them a lot for flavoring various liquids.  You get a lot of flavor
for very little carb.

Real vanilla extract usually has dextrose or corn syrup added, according
to the ingredients (no idea why).  Other extracts don't, as far as
I've seen.  Vanilla extract is usually listed as .3g per teaspoon.
