In the trash can...

Garbage truck comes Friday.

Should I have peed on it first?

is she a chemotherapy survivor or what.
that is what I want to know.

If so, good for her.
If not, come on Susan, shaving the head does not make much of a difference
at a weigh in!

Nothing about this thread is a good idea, IMO.  By being unwilling to say
it is Mrs. Fields, you tar every baker with your broad brush of accusation.
And yet you haven't the courage to stand up and say what you believe to be
the truth.

IME, innuendo and gossip are stupid and pointless.

Susans ideas on the Atkins Diet:

Atkins: Diet?? Huh?

Atkins? Hello, the Atkins Diet?

The Zone?

The high protein weight loss Myth....Really?

All Women, even close to my age, know exactly how well the high protein
weight loss LIE works...

You did it in the 70's...

You've already tested your urine ever morning for ketosis...

And?

Did it work then?

Now...back in the day, we could plead ignorance....but after 30 years of
grassroots consumer education?

Antibiotics
Bovine Growth Hormone
Estrogen
Not to mention, but twist my arm...the horrifying mass manufacturing
conditions of those high protein "healthy" foods....not that any of the
above is ever mentioned....interesting -- don't you think?

The absolute fact of the life (nothing styling about it) resurrection of
high protein weight loss is it's:

Is this an actual quote from her?  If so, she needs to learn English before
writing a book in it.

She has written a few books already.  That is a small sample of her
writing style.

I read her books when I went on her diet.  They are rather amusing.

I used to follow Susan Powter way back when...."load up on baked potatoes

seen her around for years!

It scares me when I can see the bones in a woman's chest. I mean,
collarbones are nice, but the rest of the skeleton I don't need to see.

Gotta admit though, one of my favorite quotes about exercise came from
Susan...something along the lines of, "I have never walked away after a
workout thinking, 'Damn, I wish I hadn't done that!'"

Comparing with some of the old crewcut photos online, the photo with the
fluffy haircut on the home page of her site doesn't look made narrower,
but the nose is definitely retouched in that shot to look a little bit
shorter and narrower, and the whole thing looks airbrushed to remove any
lines.

The sunken cheeks in several of the photos (with the silly hairstyle that
looks like a fiber-optic lamp on her head) suggest that she might have
lost some back teeth since since "Stop the Insanity."  I'm guessing maybe
pulled instead of root-canalled and capped during her bankrupt period,
probably with some consideration that it would make her face look thinner.

Man, you guys are mean!  Whew!  Meow!

I will say this, I had a little brush with the rich and famous Susan Powter. I
attended a television industry conference in which she was a speaker.  Lucky
me, I used the ladie's room and found myself in the stall next to none other
than the very same Susan Powter, all in white of course.  She was chitchatting
to a friend, also in the bathroom about....  I'll never tell!  But it was
gross!  :-p

Well, thinking it over, I will tell you that she was talking about how she had
been having some kind of health problem.  She was pretty graphic about it.

That is why I feel sorry to see her raked over the coals here.

I met her a couple of times when I lived in Tucson.  She was a lovely,
kind person.  I really liked her.  Granted, her diet wouldn't work for
me, but the truth is -- it worked for her.

She shaved her head because she has the same type of limp, horrible,
stringy hair that I do. She once said that she could lose weight, firm
up, and improve her body, but there really wasn't anything a person
could do to make hair like hers thick and beautiful.  I know from my
experience with that type of hair that that is true.  I respect her
for just hacking it off, actually.

post, but i'd like to extend a hearty "f.ck you" to whoever did write
it.

if she *was* a chemotherapy survivor, would you still be making snide
remarks about her hair?

My mom wears her hair short and spikey.  It looks stylish to me.
