Hi there, I have been reading here and there and I figured I'd post
something since I'm on Atkins too and I could really use some advice and
support sometimes.
I started induction Sept 15 2003 at 183 pounds.
I fell off the wagon a few times but always come back to induction the day
after. Now, it's been approx. 15 weeks and I am around 165, which I don't
consider very bad but my goal is 132. They say exercise is not negotiable
but I always avoided it like plague because I don't have time. Recently, I
started Winsor Pilates, 6 days a week, we'll see how it goes.
I can offer tricks too.
Oh, by the way,
I am Caroline, from Alberta Canada and I'm 31

Don't tell me, let me guess: Two bucks, same a downtown? (I could NOT resist
such a perfect setup line :-)

A warm welcome to you Caroline!
I started bout the same weight 7 months ago, and your results are fantastic!
CONGRATS! I only want to be @ 150 / 149 because I know my body like that
and its easier to maintaine than a streamline 135, but I wish! HA I
am 54 next month UGH! I will go to my basement today and do a workout
with Richard Simmons, just because you have inspired me to EXERCISE! ugh
Too cold to walk the dog 3-4 miles, which is my preference for exercise.
I'll give you a report, I know I'll like it, I love the 'oldies' we
workout to, just don't care for him much heheeee
Good luck and stay in touch,
beemie in Ohio

Welcome, welcome. I vaguely remember a study saying that most women who
sucessfully lost weight and kept it off long term lost most of it through
diet alone and _then_ started to work out. I've been doing both together
all along, and I mostly credit the WOE for the weight loss, and the
exercise for helping to minimize muscle loss. I think of exercise as
mainly a way to make myself feel good, but also as a sort of buffer for the
times when I'm not perfect in my eating.

I have only 3 flaws. My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws.
