Well this *is* a surprise. :-)
I'm doing fine. My weight as of last night was 328 pounds so I have
not regained the original weight I lost when I first started Atkins
and that is a good thing (to me). A certain person says I have gotten
bigger but the scale does not tell me that. My original weight was
374.
I haven't lost any more weight but I haven't exactly been doing
anything to facilitate that either. My eating is roughly 75% low carb
and 25% not low carb plus I have not been exercising like I *should*
be exercising.
Lying in bed for a little over a year much of the time and sleeping
and/or crying is not considered exercise by any standard. However, I
am feeling happier as each day passes now and the 'band-aids' are
firmly in place where they need to be and staying where they need to
be until I have put myself in a place in my mind when I can finally
rip them off and know I am fully healed from the experiences of
2002/2003.
I have been thinking about joining the YMCA and am going down for a
tour once I catch up on all the unfinished work I have to do around
the house. In the meantime I have been videotaping shows like 'Sit
and Be Fit' and doing those for exercise. Tonight I will pull my old
Richard Simmons Dancing to the Oldies tapes out of storage to use as
well. I love the music in them and it really cheers me
up......especially the Born To Be Wild segment of the tape.
And I plan to get my eating back on track asap. I am hitting the
grocery store tomorrow and rereading DANDR for info.
One thing that has not changed is my water intake. I'm drinking 3
litres a day every day. If I don't drink that much I get headaches.
Anyhoo....that is how things have been going. I hope I didn't get too
personal here or too lengthy and thank you very much for asking. I
was really surprised as well as pleased by that. It is nice to know
that someone out there cares.
I also got another nice surprise this morning. I was in my usual
chatroom and someone recognized my chat name and asked me if I ever
was in the low carb newsgroup. I told him yes and we had a really
nice little chat. He is maintaining after losing 108 pounds. I think
that is really awesome. I am completely in awe of people who have
lost so much weight and are able to keep it off. I *hope* to *be* one
of them someday. :-)
Take care Jeff and thanks again. :-D
