Hi, I'm a new old lady on this list.  I lost 60 lbs with this diet back in
the early 70's before it was Atkins.  We just called it the "High
Protein/Low Carbohydrate" diet.

I kept the weight off for 15 years then went into a nosedive during a bad,
bad divorce.  You know the rest.

Now I'm back on it again. I started Nov. 13 and have lost 17 lbs.  I haven't
moved past induction yet cause my fat and I are really old friends and I
don't want to rock the boat.

I think it's great we have this message board to encourage one another.

Welcome to the group.  It IS wonderful, isn't it?  There's no
comparison to doing it by oneself back in the 70s, which I did
too.  There's lots of knowledge and support here to help us stay
on track.

By the way, nice start with the 17-pound loss!  Keep up the good
work.

You can stay on Induction as long as you like.  My fat and I are
really old friends too. LOL

Congrats on the loss.  The pounds that is.  Not the divorce.
Just went through a breakup myself recently with someone I really
loved a lot and I know how much it can suck.

Anyway...congrats on the weight loss.  :-)
