I live in New Mexico, home of the best and hottest green chile.
I usally eat it roasted and chopped up with onions and garlic.
I've been looking for the carb count on this fruit but can't find
it. Can someone help me?

You're right, I searched under "chile" not "pepper". Sorry I caused such
a ruckus here. I guess I should just stick to referring to my book. I don't
like
getting people so excited about a simple question.

you didn't cause a ruckus.  all that happened was that i gave you a link
to a really valuable tool and you didn't take the time to figure out how
to use it.

i wasn't being rude.  the usda website is a valuable tool for anyone
looking for nutritional information.

there are many different kinds of chiles.  he didn't even name the one
he was looking for, so how can anyone here give him an accurate carb
count?

Greetings fellow New Mexican!
My Bueno frozen green chile container says it has 1 gram for 2 tbsp.

Hello fellow New Mexicans from an Albuquerque green chile eater.  What
are your favorite low carb chile eateries and dishes?

Gee, I just finished my first week. I'm still trying to figure this thing
out. For
now my favorite low carb eatery is my kitchen.  I'll be going to the Duke
City tomorrow and am thinking of eating at PF Changs. They have those
lettuce wraps ya know?

As for dishes, I eat lots of fish and chicken. I even made some turkey jerky
last week. Tonight was chicken in the wok and cooked some spinach.
I was concerned about how much green chile I can eat. Looks like it
fall into the "can eat it" catagory. I'm glad cuz I eat it as often as I
can!

I don't know about chili- but Pace picante sauce is sugar free and only 1
carb per serving- great on eggs! good substitute for catsup (well I love
catsup- almost as good)

Pace is ok, but in here in New Mexico we make our own salsa & picante sause.
In a bind I'll do the Pace thing. I agree, it's a great substitute for
catsup!
