I have been on induction for 4 days now, and I feel great, other than
the headache...have not cheated and have not even wanted to. Have not
lost a pound yet either..but still feel great!
Anyway..here is my question,
Tonight, I made 1/2 cup of green and yellow beans...and I know that
green beans are allowed on induction, but I have not seen anywhere
where you can have yellow beans on induction...I am still under my
carbs at 14 for today...Have I ruined my induction, and have to start
over, or will the yellow wax beans hurt it that much?
I thank you for your help and responses

I'm almost positive that yellow wax beans are the same as yellow string
beans. And according to the USDA database they have the same calorie, carb,
and fiber count as green string beans. So you haven't ruined or hurt
anything at all.
Here's the link for the USDA searchable database. It comes in really handy
sometimes.

Hi there GH,
2 things immediately spring to my mind when reading your post.
1) I presume you boiled the beans and ate them without salt (even with salt
it wont matter much). I checked the USDA site
(http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl) and found that half a
cup of these contain 4.925 grams of carbs (thereabouts anyways). So really
your 20 grams limit is still intact (18.925) or thereabouts (yah you!)
2) I don't know how exact/critical you should be when going for the 20 gram
daily limit... I mean 21 isn't exactly going to make a difference, plus the
carbs are coming from veggies (not like chocolate or anything). Good on you
for trying to keep to the 20 gram limit - but after just remember it's not
all over if you do break the limit by a little bit - just work harder at it
the next day (and make sure you don't fall off the wagon! :-))
Cheers
