It's simple...
With the bun, it costs BK actually LESS because the bun and wrapper cost
them about 10 cents (maybe)....
With the plastic container and fork & knife, it will cost them MORE - about
15-20 cents....
Thats the easy reason why!

Exactly!
The paper cost is probably higher. Remember when you would ask a fast food
joint for water and they would charge 5 cents for the cup?

I was thinking this is the case. The plastic case IS reusable (I
think it is the one they use for the baked potato), and you do get a
plastic fork and knife. But, considering they don't put catsup and
mayo on (need to request packets yourself), it may be easier for them
to make, so it ends up a wash.
I did try one of these, by the way (the whopper), and it was pretty
good. Not a first request, but still ok. I put one packet of catsup
and mayo on. They also do similar for the chicken whopper.
