I've been LC'ing for 10 months now. I'm down 40
lbs but can't seem to go any lower despite good
diet & excercise. Anyone have ideas?

Ken,
How much more do you have to lose?

have you tallied up your calories? they count more the closer you get
to goal.

Sure. That's why 30 years of research by the Atkins group led to
the Atkins Fat Fast.
Give it an honest try for a few weeks and you will be pleasantly
surprised.

What is your weight and height, are you muscular, and are you big
boned.
The first question to consider is, maybe you are at a decent weight
already and maybe it is counterproductive to lose weight further?

No, I'm 5'8" with a big pot belly - I need to kill that
and loose at least 50 lbs.........

I'm a male 5'9" . I started LCing back on 9/2/03. I lost about 20 pounds
fairly quickly. Then found that I was stalling. Early November saw some
weddings and other affairs and then the holidays began. I made it through
still at the 20 pound loss. Then I realized I had to look at calories in
addition to low-carbs. I plugged what I was eating into fitday.com and
found that the nuts were very high in calories. I cut back on the nuts and
lost about 4 pounds just before Christmas. I decided to go off LCing
through New Years and added back 4.5 pounds. Went back on induction on Jan
5 and have lost 9 pounds as of this morning. Mysuggestion is two-fold - try
fitday.com to determine if you're eating too many calories and/or go off the
diet for a week then restart at induction.
