Today was my official weigh and measure day at Curves, and I lost 4 pounds!
Even though this was The Month of Too Many Nuts. I am surprised that I am
still losing and haven't stalled at all yet, and I'm even more surprised at
how easy all of this is. I lost inches too, but I don't trust that abdomen
measurement, I don't know if she was holding the tape crooked or something,
it seemed to be in the same place as usual but I doubt my pooch is actually
that much smaller. Anyway, here's my chart if anyone is interested enough:

Congratulations, Luna. I especially enjoyed observing your progress because
looking at your pictures I think you are built somewhat like me. I think,
okay that's what I might look like in a few months. :-)
I know you were worried about the Too Many Nuts, but perhaps you can take
this month's success as an indication that you are stricter with yourself
than you need to be right now. This is not necessarily bad, and doesn't
necessarily mean you should keep on tossing back what you think are Too Many
Nuts, but it does mean that you are focused enough that you can ease up once
in a while without sabotaging yourself. This is a great place to be.

Thanks. I am still trying to find a balance between being too strict and
too lax. Getting and staying in the right mindset is the hardest part, I
think. You don't want to be obsessive and never allow yourself a treat and
beat yourself up over little things, but you don't want to let yourself
completely off the hook and backslide into high-carb eating again either.
Last night I decided to have some nuts again, but this time I had them as
dessert instead of a snack. I first had a pretty satisfying dinner, then I
measured a half-cup of deluxe mixed nuts (it's still 2 servings instead of
1, but 1 serving is just so tiny, lol!) and ate them one at a time. That
worked much better than just mindlessly munching on them at work.

when i buy nuts, i usually go to costco or smart and final, then get my
trusty scale out and measure out 3gm 'servings' into snack ziploks, then put
them in the refrigerator. that way, i can stop when i finish a bag, or keep
on going if i *really* want to eat them....

This made me laugh out loud! I think we should all name our months like
that according to what we currently crave or cheat on.

I managed to leave the ready made sushi at the grocery store today.
I am *sooooo* craving it but it just is not worth it with the way I am
feeling physically today.
I stocked up on a TON of mea howevert and for the next couple days
(today, tomorrow and Monday) am doing a meat/egg/water fast.
