Obviously, most of the people here have binged or they wouldn't be so fat.

Would have to disagree.

I thought binging was eating an inordinantly large amount of food quickly.

example

a..
 1.. A period of unrestrained, immoderate self-indulgence.
2.. A period of excessive or uncontrolled indulgence in food or drink: an
eating binge.
I have actually tried to binge while on this diet.

I gave myself 3 "free" days per year. Thanksgiving. Christmas and my
Birthday (june 23rd)

thats it. on those day no rules I eat what I want (actually caused me to
lose weight a little faster after christmas)

beyond that I am strict to the diet.

on thanksgiving I tried to binge I guess you could say. IE I tried to eat a
lot of the things that are normally a nono.

I couldn't I got full real fast and simply could not eat anymore.

When I was in vegas this past week for CES I actually  lost 7 pounds !! I
was very pleased. and the one night I pigged out (seafood all safe stuff I
was strict to diet the entire trip) and My eyes were MUCH larger than my
stomach. Hate a plate full of lobster and could barely get half of it down
(it was good though :-) had not had lobster in many years. Vegas is about
the only place where seafood is very affordable :-)

so after doing this diet for what ?? 5 months now ? (can not recall when I
started will have to look it up) I am no longer even "capable" of binging. I
consider this a good thing.

Down to 351 pounds. so I have lost nearly 60 pounds so far at a guess. I say
guess since 365 is the highest I can measure so I have no idea where I
started from. we are guessing over 410-420 pounds.

When I tried this diet once before I weighed myself away from home at 399
and I was heavier this time around than I was then by a visible margine
(pictures etc..) so I use a minimum of 410 as my guess for what I weighed
when I started this time (probably quite a bit more but its a number I can
use)

110-120 pounds to go :-) 1/3 the way their.

I have been averaging 2000 calories roughly a day. sometimes 100-200 more
sometimes 100-200 less.

Also still to this day not A SINGLE instance of heartburn (frequent for me
previously).

I am also starting to see visible improvement. friends and family say they
can definately see the difference. I have not till recently.

I notice many of my "fatty" areas are looser and flabbier. IE not enough fat
to fill in and "tighten" those areas anymore. this is very good :-)

My waist as of a month ago was 2 inches smaller. will have to measure again
tonight to see if it smaller yet.

I am reallly hoping to get down to a 44 inch waist (that is where most
stores stop) but would LOVE to get to 40 inches. but I do not think I could
no matter how much weight I lost.

I want to walk into any store and stand a VERY good chance of being able to
find anything I want in a size that will fit. got a ways to go yet. also
found a few (just a few) xxl shirts that almsot fit !! just a tiny bit snug
around the gut otherwise they fit !! that is very cool. been at least 10
years since I was able to even think of putting on a 2X anything. Also have
a few pairs of pants that will not stay up anymore. another great thing.
most are quite elastic so I imagine it will be some time before they become
unwearable.

I responded to that Fool. learn to read.

I then ADDED commentary. if you do not like this. well. tough. go cry to
mommy.

If you "binge" all the time its not binging anymore its overeating you
moron.

for some people its not overeating either.

You seem to be an expert on binging and overeating. I bow to your knowledge
gained through many years of having your face in the trough.

Seems impossible now, but just stick to what your're doing and you'll
be down to the size 30's before you know it.  At my heaviest at
345lbs, I was a snug size 46 and thought I'd be happy to just see size
42 ever again.  I really stuck to my diet and exercise plans however
and only bought pants when I went down 2 sizes or so.  Started from
size 46->42->38->36 and I'm currently at size 34 which I believe is
what I'll be settling at for awhile.

As I was losing weight, I'd often drop by many clothing stores to take
advantage of clearance sales and bought piles of L/XL sized shirts
that I knew in no way would have fit me at that time.  But it's one of
the things that helped keep me motivated to lose weight.  And I still
have my size 46 pants and 2X/3X sized shirts around to help motivate
me to keep the weight off, especially when I hear about how most
people who undergo drastic weight loss end up putting back all the
pounds lost and then some within 5 years.  We'll just see about that.

Your stats are really *awesome*.  WTG.
Chris Taylor Jr - 19 Jan 2004 01:20 GMT
I also did that. I have one of those "slick" irredescent shirts I love so
much. XL. does not fit. it sits their waiting for me to fit into it.

30's never. I was larger than 34" when I had nearly no fat on me (I am quite
a large person fat aside)

Oddly around what I consider my waist I do not have all that much fat. its
strange really. I can feel my hip bones on each side through the skin and
then WHAM the gut juts out :-)

one hope is that as I lose weight my "width" their may not change but my
depth (gut and butt) will which will also detract from the waist size. so
here's hoping.

:-)
