I have been looking for the following things, with no luck:

SoBe Lean Beverages--I found ONE stray bottle at Stop & Shop.
Otherwise, I just see SoBe and no SoBe Lean.

Arizona Tea Diet--in the two fruit flavors I have seen mentioned.
I see the Arizona Tea everywhere, but I only see some diet Ginseng
variety.

(Can you tell I miss my juices?  Crystal Light's ruby grapefruit
is decent, if you can handle aspartame.  Ocean Spray's Light Ruby
is good although a bit sweet.  Too carby for me to drink on its
own, but okay mixed with something else.)

The new low-carb magazine--I have only looked at S&S thus far but
will try to look at some other stores this afternoon.  If it is
any good, I want to start with the first issue, which is on the
news stand now.  Hmmm.  Who has a good magazine section????

Other things I have not seen:  the new Ragu sauces, the new light
and healthy Tropicana OJ (which is still too carby; I just want to
see when it gets to this area).

I just can't resist looking around for things, even though it can
be frustrating.  Two of the three 7-Elevens I went to in the last
two days have Atkins signs up, but they have very little
merchandise, and that seems to vary.  I did find a couple of kinds
of Z-bars (finally) at one of them and got one of the bars with
macadamias.  (I don't like milk chocolate.)  Another store had At
Last bars (by CarboRite (odd on the front it says CarboRite, and
on the back it says manufactured by CarboLite).  I have enjoyed
the two bars I have had, although the flavor is not intense.  They
are sweetened with erythritol and inulin--but note that the
chocolate truffle variety also contains some maltitol.  One of the
stores also had a new (to me, anyway) AdvantEdge Perfection bar,
again sweetened with erythritol and inulin.  (Be careful; I may
have seen others elsewhere with maltitol in them--I'm not sure
about that.)  If my daughter in I are in the mood to take a ride
tomorrow, I may go back up to the big 7-Eleven in either Methuen,
Lawrence, or Andover.

I just started looking for these beverages at 7-Eleven.  I may not
have noticed them when I was looking for Iced Botanicals--esp.
since I had not heard of either of the others at that point.  I
probably hadn't heard of them before my expedition to Wal-Mart
either.  I would prefer not to buy at Wal-Mart though.

Thanks, Preesi.   If I can't find them locally, I may resort to
that.  It's so much nicer to be able to just go to the stores and
get stuff though.

Thanks!  That's a good lead if I ever get down in that direction.

Jean,

I saw an ad for the Dannon low carb yogurt in today's flyer from Price
Chopper. It's in VT but I think there are still some Price Choppers in your
end of MA.

Thanks for the clue.  I went out to K-Mart, having read some of
the new stuff was there, and it wasn't.  Went to the Market Basket
near there and saw nothing of particular interest but they did
have a rather lengthy announcement about various Atkins items
being on sale.  Also, I will remind people who can consume
aspartame that the Cranberry Fruit Refresher that Market Basket
carries is excellent.  Odd that this fake cranberry beverage
tastes so much better than some other thing I tried recently.

Some of this stuff is just walking out of the stores as fast as they can
stock it.

I've had a craving for eggplant parmigian, so I was checking out the
spaghetti sauce section of Shaws this afternoon, because people had been
talking about the low carb Ragu sauce. Well, they didn't have any.
However, they did have a large gap in the shelf where it had been, but
it took me a while to notice that!

Hmmm.  I don't think there were any holes at Stop & Shop, but
there may well have been at Market Basket.  I didn't get to Shaw's
because the traffic was too heavy.  Tomorrow I may get to one.  In
fact, there's a new one I want to check out.

Alice,

The lowest carb spaghetti sauce I've found is the Barilla Italian Baking
Sauce. It is stocked by all the supermarkets, but you have to hunt for it
because they put it in the baking sauce section, not the spaghetti sauce
section.

It is delicious and only has 5 grams of (naturally occuring) sugar per
serving. I use it sparingly, because it is 10 grams per serving, but it
really perks up eggplant or chicken.

I ended up getting a can of Muir Glen crushed tomatoes (on special, and
it seemed to have the least amount of additives) and making my own: one
sauteed cut-up onion, 3 cloves crushed garlic, about 1 1/2 tsp mixed
Italian herbs (a lagniappe from a Penzey's order), simmered for c. 1
hour (while I was preparing other ingredients). I think I'm going to end
up with 6 servings from the tray of eggplant lasagna, which was
*heavenly*, and will probably be better reheated.

Alice,

I don't think it is possible to get below a certain amount of naturally
occuring sugar in a tomato sauce without eliminating the tomatoes.

Given the real health benefits of tomatoes, I am willing to stretch things a
bit to fit them into my diet. I'd rather eat real tomatoes with the
associated carbs than frankenfood "low carb" tomato sauce with something
that simulates the tomato flavor without the lycopene etc.

If there's a Victory supermarket near you, they have the Ragu Light No
Sugar Added Tomato & Basil, which is about the lowest carb spaghetti sauce
I've seen, on sale this week for $1.50  (Not quite as good as last week's
Stop & Shop sale for 99 cents, but still pretty good.)  The one near me had
lots of them on the shelves.  It's not specifically labeled "Low Carb".

from the Light No Sugar Added Tomato & Basil label:
Serving size: 1/2 cup
Calories: 50
Total fat: 1.5 g
Total carb: 7 g
    Fiber: 2 g
    Sugars: 5 g
Protein: 2 g

(I saw a web site showing a label for the new Ragu that does have some
mention of carbs in its name, in big blue letters -- probably costs a lot,
but the net carbs were the same as this one, I think!)

Also the one of the canned Hunt's versions has a similar carb count (8
total, 3 fiber, 5 net).  I forget the exact name -- something like Classic
Italian Garlic & Herb.  Usually runs about 99 cents; sometimes on sale for
79.
