Why I love the Low Carb Lifestyle

I thought I'd start a positive thread about Low Carb living.
I mostly started low carb because hubby wanted to, and we both need to lose
weight and become healthier.

However, since starting 17 days ago, I have noticed other bonuses that I
either wasn't expecting, or wasn't expecting this soon.  So I thought I'd
make a list of the great side effects.  If anybody wants to add their own
observations, please do!

1.  I don't feel hungry all the time.
2.  I don't think about food much (and have come to realize that I used to
think about food all the time)
3.  My acne is clearing up!!!
4.  I have more energy.
5.  I'm losing weight.
6.  I'm losing inches.
7.  My taste buds have changed, and foods taste better now than they used
to!
8.  There is a great low carb newsgroup community.

All this I've noticed in just 17 days.  It really gives me more willpower to
want to continue living this way when I see great results like this. :)

I also want to say thanks to all the people who post here and answer my
questions (even ones I haven't asked because other posters ask them first!)
and give me support to continue.

great start to a great thread!
CONGRATS TO YOU SPRING!

i was pleasantly surprised when i realized that living a LOW CARB
LIFESTYLE wasn't  all that difficult and the benefits certainly
outweighed my "need" for supersized french fries!

i knew that i was a carb addict, but to realize that it wasn't just
emotional and proper treatment (WOE) of the body would help to
reduce my cravings and constant hunger and give me back a "normal"
life.
it is thanks to the folks here in  ASD-LC that it has happened!

I also am on day 17. I have experienced all the same benefits....except
energy. I'm still feeling a bit sluggish...but I'm starting to feel better
lately.
