Hi there,
I currently do aerobic exercise daily and weight training every 2nd day to
maintain
and build strength, While on Atkins to lose fat, (another 5 Kg's) lost 6
kg's on Induction.
Would i benefit from taking extra protein in a shake or the like to help
build / maintain strength, or would this counter the benefits i am getting
from my current eating plan?
Thank you

Not a good idea, if you do allot of aerobic exercise, you will
need more carbo's not less.

many protein powders contain carbs. I recentlt bought whey protein and
it contains about 25% carbs from milk.
So be careful.
You need no more than 1g of protein per 1 lb of bodyweight per day,
the rest is burned as calories, putting some amount of strain on your
kidneys. There is no possible reason why you would *need* protein.
You will, however, need strength training if you want to keep muscles.
