I just read an article on MSN.com, right on the front page, entitled
'low carb desserts'.  You would not believe the recipes they have in
there!  high carb, low fat, etc.  Most include sugar, flour and
high-carb fruits and juices.  One recipe in particular had 29 grams of
carbs per serving!  Most of the recipes linked directly to Better
Homes and Gardens.  I have already written both BH&G and msn.com
letting them know of the mistake, and asking them to remove the
article.  If you would like, please do the same.  support@bhg.com.  To
contact msn, click the feedback link at the bottom of the page, and
follow the form.

would be helpful to post a link to that article.

a good rule of thumb is, if your diet does not allow you to eat food
X, to not make or buy fake foods that supposedly don't have X but are
designed to taste like foods with X. Just honestly don't eat X and eat
everything else that's not fake and allowed.

This, pretty much, covers the issue of desserts as well as junk food,
candy etc.

I don't think they consider it a mistake.  I have looked (briefly)
at their supposedly low-carb cookbooks.  They certainly are not LC
by our standards!

The FDA does not have a rule about what is "low carb" yet.

29g per serving can be low carb for someone who has a 100g/day limit,
really wants a treat, and has planned for those carbs.

I complained to MSN last week when they printed 'low-carb' breakfast
foods. Ridiculous!
